Omio (formerly GoEuro), a Berlin-based travel startup, has secured $100 million in new funding from both existing and new investors, including the likes of Temasek, Kinnevik, Kleiner Perkins, NEA, and Goldman Sachs. Omio says it’ll new the new capital to fuel its growth and pursue possible acquisitions. With the new funding, Omio has now raised a total of about $400 million in funding since its inception.
Founded as GoEuro in 2013, Omio had become successful and raised about $300 million in funding before its rebrand. As a travel platform, GoEuro was one of Europe’s most widely used, operating across dozens of countries. With its rebrand, which was formally instituted in February of last year, Omio has till maintained that trajectory of success.
