At a recent interview at The David Rubenstein Show, Apple CEO Tim Cook talked about the values at Apple, working with Steve Jobs and other issues including privacy and equality and one notable thing he spoke about in the interview dubbed “The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations” was where he talked about Apple’s employees all having 100 % standing desks with him stating that switching working positions between sitting and standing is much healthier for the work lifestyle.

The desks for Apple employees accommodate both standing and sitting and will greatly improve productivity whilst reducing body stress for the employees and providing more healthier body postures and mobility for the people at Apple’s notable spaceship campus dubbed The Apple Park.

Tim Cook detailed how the use of the Apple Watch led to the use of these standing desks in the company’s new base which opened last year as several people who used The Apple Watch at the company will always get up and move between very regular intervals for better and healthier body balance and this led to the development of this standing desks as Tim Cook states that doctors think that “sitting is the new cancer”.

At the same interview, Cook also commented on politics as the private equity Billionaire David Rubenstein asked him if he would ever consider running for president, Cook made a reply saying that he’s not really political but also loves focusing on the policy aspect and with the current issues in the Washington region, He feels he can make much change at his position as Apple’s CEO.

Apple’s standing desks is only one amongst the many available perks for employees at its masterpiece Apple campus which was estimated to have cost $5 Billion to build and features so many notable features and architectural innovations for the people at Apple.
