Amazon has unveiled a new smart speaker featuring an all-new design, an upgraded sound system, a stunning 10-inch HD display, a 5MP camera and a built-in smart home hub which offers new integrations spanning from entertainment to communication to utility, shopping, browsing and several other useful consumer features.
The re-designed Echo Show’s immersive display comes with crisp and bright visuals coupled with its upgraded speaker system which delivers strong bass and stereo sound among other notable features packed into the new smart speaker set for release next month with a $229.99 retail price.

“Customers tell us they love the convenience of being able to ask Alexa to show them things,” Tom Taylor, Senior Vice President for Amazon Alexa said in a statement. “Today, we’re making the voice-first, visual Echo Show experience better in every way by adding even more experiences to delight our customers—a dynamic and vivid display makes watching live TV enjoyable, new speakers for music and music videos, two-way doorbell video calling, simple set-up and control of smart home devices, Skype calling to friends and family, and all-new visual features.”
The new Echo Show offers a delightful experience with its visual display while being integrated with new entertainment integrations for Hulu and NBC to make live TV viewing and on-demand streaming available for the new speaker.

The Cooking with Alexa skill makes the Echo Show more useful in the kitchen with available step-by-step instructions from the likes of Kitchen Stories, Allrecipes, Epicurious, Food52, TheKitchn and SideChef for consumers. Voice command is available for control to take out the need of touching screens with wet hands when using this skill.
It’s also coming with a two-way talk feature that works with Ring and August smart cameras, At a ring of the doorbell, The user can just respond with “Alexa, answer the front door” to communicate with whoever is there without having to get to the door.

With its built-in Zigbee smart home hub, The Echo Show makes starting the smart home very easy, With a simple “Alexa, discover my devices” command, One can automatically discover ad set-up compatible light bulbs, plugs and switches without the requirement of additional apps to enable seamless connection and usage.
It also comes packed with more calling and simple shopping options for the user. Its 5MP camera supports high-definition video calling through Skype in addition to having a Drop In feature on supported Echo devices in the playroom to for example check on the living room to see how the dog is behaving.

The all-new Echo Show would start shipping next month, On the 11th of October to be precise with a $229.99 price as stated in addition to an optional accompanying stand which allows tilting of the device for adjustment of viewing and camera angles for coming for $29.99.
