Business site LinkedIn has announced that it’s laying off 960 employees primarily from its sales and hiring divisions, a number that represents 6% of its global workforce. LinkedIn is cutting the jobs due to a recruiting and hiring slowdown resulting from the coronavirus pandemic that has, in turn, affected its business. For the affected employees, LinkedIn says it’s providing a minimum of ten weeks of severance pay, 12 months of health insurance, and career transition assistance.
According to LinkedIn’s chief executive, Ryan Roslansky, the company isn’t planning any further layoffs.
