Bangalore based online home interior marketplace firm Livspace has now nabbed $70 million in a funding round led by Goldman Sachs and TPG Growth for the company’s expansion in its home market.

This Series C round for the company which says it’s on track to hit over $125 million of annualized gross revenue by March next year was also participated in by notable VC firms Bessemer Ventures, Jungle Ventures and Helion Ventures.

The 4 year old company has now raised nearly $100 million in total marking it as one of the most funded and notable startups in the rapidly growing Indian tech scene. It currently operates in 7 Indian cities and plans to expand into other 6 other regions by next year.

“Our vision is to reshape the way people design and renovate their homes all over the world,” Anuj Srivastava, Livspace’s CEO and co-founder stated “In an industry that has traditionally struggled with scale, we’ve created a first-of-its-kind, design-to-installation technology platform and a marketplace model that is highly scalable,”.

“We are thrilled to have TPG Growth and Goldman Sachs with us in our journey,” he added. “Their understanding of global markets and deep expertise in accelerating growth-stage companies will help us take Livspace to the next stage of its journey.”

“India is a rapidly growing economy, and as its middle class expands, there is a greater appetite among consumers to upgrade and improve their homes,” Bill McGlashan, Founder and Managing Partner at TPG Growth said in a statement. “Livspace has emerged as India’s top player in the home interiors and improvement space, and we look forward to working with Anuj and his team to bring this innovative service to more consumers across the country,”.

Livspace plans to fuel its efforts with an expansion of its offline footprint through its experiential stores dubbed Livspace Design Centers which play a key role for the availability of its service through various channels.

It also plans to introduce new home interior solutions, products and technology innovations as a way to better the experience for both homeowners and design partners in addition to other efforts.
