Mapbox hires notable Apple and Twitter Engineer Avi Ceiplinski to lead its AR Design

Mapbox, The custom map provider for so many notable applications, websites and technology companies which previously raised $164 million in a funding round led by Softbank has now confirmed it has hired Avi Cieplinski, A notable engineer who previously held top positions at Apple and Twitter as its new Head of Design for Augmented Reality in a move that will see Cieplinski lead the company’s AR based location mapping efforts to higher scales and huge expansion.

Washington based Mapbox which provides mapping services for several notable companies including Snapchat, GitHub, DoorDash, Mastercard and Instacart amongst several others announced this move in a recent blog post where it detailed the move as one of perfect timing as the company just released its Reactive Native AR and Apple SceneKit SDKs which opens its location based AR mapping tool to every developer who intends to make use of the software to provide services whilst Mapbox also uses the huge influx of developer input to greatly improve its services.

Avi Cieplinski will now join the effort in tackling the challenges of Location based AR as it’s a field which has not yet gotten cemented design methods and will require so many creative and trial efforts to fully utilize and apply to so many services and uses from all around the globe.

Mapbox which provides search and navigation services to tech companies and other firms in the U.S. will now make use of this addition to the rest of its huge pool of talent to grow its service and generate huge revenues and returns for itself and both the users of its services.
