Chinese hardware giant and consumer darling Lenovo has outed a new addition to its ThinkPad X1 series with the new laptop dubbed the ThinkPad X1 Extreme introducing a 15-inch form factor to the X1 lineup while also being the first to feature NVIDIA discrete graphics.

Designed for advanced users and prosumers who desire a thin and light laptop, Its high performance is ideal for data intensive workloads, graphics rendering, video and photo editing and virtual and mixed reality applications.

Its compatible with leading headsets with users able to enjoy low latency immersive experiences enabling it as a strong performer in multiple fields including healthcare, training, education and modelling.

It comes with an NVIDIA GeForce® 1050Ti graphics which lets users play their favorite games while being incredibly strong with its four layers of reinforced carbon fiber which forms the top cover structure and includes a core layer that absorbs shocks.

Starting at just 3.76 pounds (1.7kg), The new addition is 12% lighter than the similar ThinkPad T580 with its thin and light package coming with high-end performance. The merging of its 8th generation Intel CoreTM processors, up to 64GB of memory and dual PCIe SSD storage option with Raid 0/1 capability enables the topmost performance ever seen on an X1 series.

Its Dolby AudioTM Premium system enhances productivity and collaboration with its far field microphones being very effective for conferenceing experiences with its up to 15 hours of battery life enabling users to work and operate longer.

In just 60 minutes, Its Rapid Charge technology fuels its battery up to 80% during charge enabling more uptime. With all these high-spec features, The ThinkPad X1 Extreme starts at $1859 and is available starting from this month.
