In a bid to improve clarity on its app as the ride-hailing giant Uber adds more features to its app with expansive focus on the biking and e-scooter market, It has introduced a new feature dubbed “Mode Switch” which as illustrated in the graphics interchange format above provides users a seamless way of switching between riding, renting and scooter services.
While this comes as a minor tweak, It’s a very key step as it sets to move beyond ride sharing into other services for its users. The company is expanding its JUMP bike service to more cities in addition to striking a car rental pilot with Getaround and another partnership with transit ticket provider Masabi.
Uber aims to be a one-stop shop for all transportation and delivery needs with sights set on the smartphone replacing the personal vehicle. As per the company, More app improvements are in-store as it aims living without the use of a personal car easier for customers.
