Grin, another startup in the hot e-scooter space but focused on the Latin American region has raised $45 million in new funding as per a new SEC filing which indicates of about $45.65 million of equity sold out of a total of $46.4 million offered by the company which has previously raised over $20 million between July and September.

The company which counts backers including Y Combinator, 500 Startups, Shasta Ventures, Trinity  Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, M Ventures and Pi Campus has now raised nearly $73 million in total since its start.

Grin

Grin which offers use of its electric scooters starting from $15 currently operates in Mexico City only with plans to expand to other regions after just launching its service this year. The e-scooter scene is surely a hot space with the likes of Bird and Lime already becoming unicorns with hundreds of millions of dollars raised between them.

Both companies are also said to be seeking new funding at even loftier valuations as they take on expansion into more cities as e-scooter use become more mainstream across regions.
