Agent 47, The main protagonist of the Hitman video game series released by IO Interactive known to be the collection of tons of research, unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence packed into a fictional perfect killing machine is coming back with new experiences in the Hitman 2 title just released on the PC, Xbox One and PS4 platforms.
The new game takes players around the globe to Hawke’s Bay (New Zealand), Miami (Florida/U.S.), Santa Fortuna (Colombia), Mumbai (India), Whittleton Creek (Vermont/U.S.) and the mysterious Isle of Sgàil (North Atlantic) with each location being very detailed and packed with opportunities for lots of discoveries, meeting and disguising even as the goal stands as to eliminate enemy targets.
It involves a deep storyline that gets into the origins of Agent 47 who can now play co-op with other Agents thanks to 2 new multiplayer modes that literally changes the way the game is played. The first mode, Sniper Assassin is focused on long-range skill where either solo as Agent 47 or in online co-op as either Stone or Knight (two new ICA operatives), targets must be taken down for earning of points, unlocking of challenges and upgrading of the rifle.
The other multiplayer mode, Ghost Mode is a 1-versus-1 mode that puts players in direct competition. Players and opponents strive to be first to earn five target kills while making sure they pull it off without anyone seeing it happen. In this mode, Players and their real friends who serve as opponents all operate from different realities enabling control of everything for each player. However, Ghost Coins are provided to allow players interact with their opponent’s reality as well as theirs.

With all this, ambitious plans are also in place for post-launch content to be added for players. An example is The Underying arriving on November 20 starring actor Sean Bean where Agent 47 is tasked to take out former MI5 agent turned freelance assassin Mark Faba before he can complete a contract kill at the Global Innovation Race event in Miami. It’ll run for 14 days and will come with a reward of an Explosive Pen for players who complete the mission.
