According to a new report from Business Insider, cloud collaboration startup Airtable notable for its widely popular spreadsheet-database hybrid software is raising $100 million in new funding which could value the company at nearly $1 billion.

According to the report, Airtable which raised $52 million just 6 months ago might see Benchmark which missed out on its previous round invest in this one. Other existing investors including Slow Ventures, CRV, Freestyle Ventures and Caffeinated Capital are also probable to invest in this new round although things remain unclear for now.

Founded in 2013, Airtable has raised over $60 million in total and has grown to over 30,000 enterprise users including Shopify, Slack, Medium, Pinterest, BuzzFeed, Slack, Box and Target who have created more than 3 million databases on its platform.

The company was launched by alumni of Salesforce, Google and Stack Overflow with Howie Liu who previously sold his startup, CRM Etacts to Salesforce currently occupying the CEO position. 2 Other founders are Emmett Nicholas who was a founding engineer at Stack Overflow and Andrew Ofstad who previously was a product manager for Android.
