The Indian unit of e-commerce giant Amazon has said it will begin offering auto insurance in the country, marking the first time that Amazon is foraying into that market. According to a press statement, Amazon Pay, the payments arm of the company’s Indian unit, has partnered with Indian insurance firm Acko for the new service, which will compete with similar offerings from the likes of Policybazaar and Paytm. With the new service, existing Amazon Prime customers will get extra benefits and discounts.

India is one of Amazon’s fastest-growing markets and the e-commerce giant seems to be continually doubling down on the country.
