Goat Group, a popular sneaker marketplace, has announced that it’s closed $100 million in Series E funding from a single investor by the name of D1 Capital Partners. With the new funding, Goat Group has now raised nearly $300 million in funding since its inception in 2015. The new funding values Goat Group at $1.75 billion, up from $550 million last year, as noted by a report [paywall] from the Wall Street Journal. Goat says it’ll use the new funding to expand its business.

Goat began in 2015 and has worked its way into the status of a leading online sneaker marketplace globally. The company has even further expanded into adjacent categories such as apparel and accessories to boost business.

Goat currently has 13 physical locations including distribution and authentication centers across the US, Asia, and Europe. These centers are centric to the company’s operations, serving as hubs where products are verified and then shipped out to customers after verification. Goat currently ships to over 170 countries globally. The company’s platform features over 350 sneaker, apparel, and accessories brands for its over 30 million members to shop.

Goat is primarily a marketplace and doesn’t itself own the goods purchased by customers on its platform. The goods come from hundreds of thousands of individual sellers as well as boutiques and brands that have partnered with Goat. In just five years of existence, Goat has impressively worked its way into a leading global sneaker marketplace and with nearly $300 million in funding and a valuation of nearly $1.8 billion to match. The company’s new funding round came solely from D1 Capital Partners, an investment firm which was founded only two years ago but has, as of late, cropped into many big technology deals. In this year alone, D1 Capital Partners has participated in big investments for companies including Airtable, Robinhood, Instacart, Attentive, and Warby Parker.

  • i am a successful business owner and father. I got one of these already programmed blank ATM cards that allows me withdraw a maximum of $5,000 daily for 30 days. I am so happy about these cards because I received mine last week and have already used it to get $20,000. Skylink technology is giving out these cards to support people in any kind of financial problem. I must be sincere to you, when i first saw the advert, I believed it to be illegal and a hoax but when I contacted this team, they confirmed to me that although it is illegal, nobody gets caught while using these cards because they have been programmed to disable every communication once inserted into any Automated Teller Machine(ATM). If interested get through to them on mail: skylinktechnes@yahoo.com  or  whatsapp/telegram: +1(213)785-1553
