Home appliance brand KitchenAid unveiled a smart display kit with the Google Assistant and other perks like step-by-step recipe instructions, smart home control and use of shopping lists at the Consumer Electronics Show. The device will enable users to easily search and identify recipe inspirations and cooking tutorials they can then follow, with voice and visual meal planning thanks to the Google Assistant.

The KitchenAid Smart Display will feature a 10-inch display screen and will be IPX-5 rated for resistance to faucet water which count as a key factor considered when placing gadgets in the kitchen. “Our main aim was to evolve the multi-modal connected display category and create a product that truly makes sense in the kitchen,” KitchenAid Senior Manager for Internet of Things Global Strategy and Partnerships Ryan Craig said.
