Tesla has announced availability of the Model 3 configurator for buyers in China and select left-hand drive European countries (The Netherlands, France, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Finland, Italy and Denmark).
This implies buyers of the Model 3 in these countries can tinker with the Tesla design studio to configure their Model 3, of which two versions, the Model 3 Performance and the long range all-wheel drive Model 3 are currently available for configuration.

Tesla taking the Model 3 into new markets could help generate profits amid a reduction in prices of its vehicles in U.S. and China, two of its major markets. The Model 3 is its fastest-selling vehicle ever with Tesla placing priority on on bringing it into new markets.
The EV maker also plans to begin building cars outside the U.S., having began hiring for a planned Gigafactory in Shanghai to manufacture vehicles for the Chinese market. The facility estimated to cost $2 billion to build is expected to begin production sometime 2020.
