The new Razer Sila, a high-performance WiFi router outed by the renowned gaming hardware company is designed for home users entailing WiFi service optimized optimized for both high performance gaming, streaming and download of multimedia content.

With currently increasing rates of mobile gaming, Fast and reliable WiFi stands as necessary with a need for homes running wired networks to every room for effective use. The Sila is designed for just that with craft to deliver lag-free gaming and interruption-free streaming over fast wireless networks to meet the needs of today’s mobile, console and laptop users.

The new router is fitted with a suite of technologies which include Razer FasTrack, Multi-Channel ZeroWait DFS and Mesh capability with a dedicated backhaul aimed at making it the best at its task of delivering reliable WiFi connection within home or office connections.

The FasTrack software is a proprietary QoS engine which caters for smart traffic management through the use of deep packet inspection and adaptive learning technology which allows users prioritize traffic based on application and device types ranging from mobile phones to PCs and consoles to smart TVs.

Users can can easily adjust their networks for seamless gaming and streaming experiences with built-in detection for PlayStation, Xbox and Switch consoles on the Sila router which also features a one-touch gaming mode which enables for automatic reservation of bandwidth for online gaming.

Its patented Multi-Channel Zero-Wait DFS technology enables for clean WiFi channels to circumvent network traffic and preserve the highest speeds for requiring apps without vulnerability to hanging, disconnection and downtime.

Also packed in the router is a capability of advanced mesh networking with 2 or more Razer Sila units able to be combined for output of smooth and speedy WiFi coverage across areas up to 6,000 square feet with 2 units or multi-storey locations over 6,000 square feet with 3 units. It’s fitted with dedicated 5 GHz backhaul and independent fronthaul links which operates on up to 4 simultaneous DFS channels which lessens interference and network congestion.

“We are constantly achieving new performance heights with our hardware and software,” Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO said in a statement concerning the new product. “But high precision and low latency can be rendered useless if the WiFi drops. So we took the next step to develop a strong foundation for our ecosystem; with WiFi that just works no matter where you are.”

The Razer Sila router is developed in collaboration with Ignition Design Labs, a notable tech and engineering firm founded by alumni of networking giants Qualcomm and Broadcom very much famous for launching the award-winning Portal Smart WiFi router in 2016.
