Asana Leases Space At 3 World Trade Center

On the heels of a $50 million round that valued it at $1.5 billion, software company Asana, one led by Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz and early employee Justin Rosenstein, has agreed to lease about 17,000 square feet (1,600 square meters) at the iconic, 80 floor, 3 World Trade Center. The company expects to move in this summer, joining companies including Zola, SportsNet, Diageo, Casper, GroupM and McKinsey who currently lease space at the building.

Another notable company with plans to expand its presence in New York is Google, which announced a $1 billion investment -in December- for a new campus in the region. 3 World Trade Center officially opened on the 11th of June 2018 and is already over 50% leased.

The building is managed by Silverstein Properties through a ground lease with the the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, who owns the land. It measures 1,079 ft (329m) high and is currently the sixth tallest building in NYC.

Asana, launched in 2008, is headquartered in San Francisco and is a leading enterprise software startup with nearly 400 employees across offices in SF, New York, Dublin and Australia. Customers of the company – which has raised over $200 million in funding according to Crunchbase – include Uber, Sony Music, NASA, Vox Media, Zalando, Airbnb, Disney, Overstock.com and KLM Air France.
