According to an announcement from German auto brand BMW, it delivered a total of 171,501 vehicles in February, and a total of 341,977 from the beginning of this year. This includes BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce brand vehicles. Sales of the BMW 3 Series sedan were down 13.4% in the first two months of this year, due to a current model changeover of what counts as BMW’s best-ever selling sedan.

37,232 BMW 3 Series sedans have been sold since the beginning of this year. BMW says the new model of the vehicle will reach full availability during the second quarter of this year, which might lead to an increase in sales. The Mini brand recorded 23,068 sales in February, slightly down (-1.1%) from the same month last year. 2019 will mark the 60th anniversary for the brand, which has inked 43,644 sales from the beginning of this year.

BMW is also putting in efforts in the electric vehicle space, with a plan to have at least 25 electrified models on the market by 2025, 12 of which will be fully electric. The fully-electric BMW i3 saw a 19.8% (year-over-year) increase in sales in the first two months of this year.

At the on-going Geneva Motor Show, the company also debuted electrified variants of the BMW 3 Series, BMW 7 Series, BMW X3 and BMW X5 models, indicating significant efforts in this space.
