Palo Alto based software firm Palantir has now inked another customer for its enterprise services with Scuderia Ferrari, The professional racing division of the eponymous auto manufacturer taking on Palantir’s Foundry enterprise platform for provision of better results.
With the Formula 1 space being famously data driven, Data generated from sensors fitted on racing cars stored in multiple systems will be brought together by Palantir’s Foundry software in one united space for use when Ferrari’s factory-side and track-side engineers make quick and informed decisions.
With the adaptation of the Foundry software, Scuderia Ferrari’s aerodynamic engineers can quickly test and confirm hypotheses of component performance, at scale, explore telemetry information, driver feedback, and manufacturer data in one platform to make data-driven maintenance recommendations and rapidly analyze the full lifecycle of an engine and instantly share their analyses with other teams as per Palantir’s statement.
This partnership between both firms was made official during last weekend’s Grand Prix on the historical Monza racetrack with the software firm’s logo unveiled on Ferrari’s F1 car.
Palantir, The 14 year old software firm handling this new deal has notably been one of the main companies in the big-data space counting customers including some of the world’s most recognizable brands while having raised over $2 Billion in total.
