Mercedes has unveiled a new Mercedes-Benz A-Class Saloon vehicle marking another addition to its family of compact cars which sports familiar A-Class features and characters which include modern and efficient engines, a high safety level, The Mercedes-Benz User Experience infotainment system (MBUX) and a state-of-the-art driving assistance system.

The newly unveiled vehicle is set for production next year and will be brought to the public eyes for the first time at the Paris Motor Show holding from the 4th to 14th of October 2018.

Of all production vehicles worldwide, Mercedes says the new A-Class Saloon has the lowest aerodynamic drag thereby defending the world record of its CLA Coupé vehicle.

“Following the successful launch of the new A-Class in May, we are continuing to expand the range in the compact car segment.In response to the wish of many customers, we are now offering the A-Class for the fist time as a saloon car as well”, Top Daimler executive Britta Seeger said in a statement “Anyone looking for a compact, sporty saloon with a separate boot now has a new attractive alternative. It will enable us to win new customers for Mercedes-Benz“.

The new vehicle leverages the favourable set-up of its long rear to gain its aerodynamic drag which attains the original world record of the CLA Coupé of cw 0.22. It’s able to drive semi-autonomously in certain situations with its driving assistance systems offering cooperative driver support for provision of a very high safety level for the user.

The engine portfolio of the new A-Class Saloon counts as very efficient and powerful while completing the Euro 6d TEMP limits. Six different engine forms are available at launch with two combined with 4MATIC all-wheel drive technology.

MBUX, it’s infotainment system packs a user experience distinction in regards to 3D graphics, intuitive operation including via touchscreen and “Hey Mercedes” voice-operated control, It counts an ability to learn in addition to other notable functions which include MBUX Augmented Reality for navigation.

For the exterior design, The new A-Class addition bundles a seamless fit with its clear formal shapes emphasising its surface areas with reduced lines and precise gaps. It counts the proportions of a dynamic and compact saloon car with its short front and rear overhangs.

The interior design is completely re-crafted with a modern and avant-garde look offering unique beauty while game-changing its compact lineup with a new feeling of spaciousness. It’s shaped in particular by its advanced dashboard whose wing-shaped main body extends from one front door to the other with no visual discontinuity.

It also comes with an optional free-standing Widescreen display and air vents in sporty turbines which spotlights another unique feature.
