At this year’s gamescom event, British video game developer Rare first gave a glimpse of Forsaken Shores, The latest update for its popular Sea of Thieves title, The company has now outed the new update as part of its commitment to delivering new content throughout the year and beyond with this new update made available at no cost for those who own the game or make use of Xbox Game Pass.

The Forsaken Shores takes players into a a new volcanic region dubbed The Devil’s Roar which packs several challenges including terrifying earthquakes, volcanic eruptions which rain down hot rocks and flowing lava, dangerous super-heated water around islands and unpredictable geysers capable of flinging players into the air.

Also new with this update is the Row Boat which will play a major role in assisting for navigation of this dangerous region while also enriching the journey across other regions in the Sea of Thieves universe.

Players can also now take on new Devil’s Roar Voyages with improved challenges which brings about better in-game rewards. This new content is being introduced with a time-limited campaign running from 4 weeks since the 27th of September where players would be able to find out what happened to the first crew that coped to make their way to The Devil’s Roar.

Players would also find new quests with the Merchant Alliance and take on Cargo runs across the world as part of this update. As also announced by Rare, Sea of Thieves would also now formally support Traditional Chinese as an official language starting from the 8th of November in a bid to enable more players enjoy the game with the addition of new languages.
