Toyota is introducing a new Y20 grade to the Yaris 2019 model range being packed with high-specs and desirable features while marking the 20th anniversary of its B segment car since its first display at the 1998 Paris Motor Show.
Since launch, The Yaris has grown to be Toyota’s best-selling model in the European region while also being built there at its Valenciennes factory in France which has produced over 3 million Yaris units.

The new Y20 features a new multimedia system that allows for smartphone integration and the same gold paintwork used by the first Yaris unveiled 20 years ago but with a contemporary twist of a bi-tone dark grey roof.
New Y20 models will sit at the heart of the 2019 Yaris model range while making a replacement of the current Mid+ grade in addition to offering a strong choice for its customers.
Standard and bi-tone versions will also be available with matching silver, black or pearl bodywork colors and a new dark grey finish for the Y20’s roof.

Its dark grey finish is made to to distinguish the Y20 from the entire Yaris line-up adding to an exterior styling that also features 16-inch grey and machined-face 10-spoke alloy wheels, door mirror casings, a front grille, dark grey side mouldings and fog light surrounds (with chrome detailing).
The new vehicle also packs a shark fin antenna colour matched with its roof, a dark-tinted rear privacy glass and a special Y20 badging at the rear.
Its interior sports a new chequer-pattern fabric upholstery, Satin chrome air vent, audio speaker and meter surrounds, a gear knob trim, a Y20 badging on the instrument panel, black carpet mats with silver edging and several other features which extends the vehicle’s dark grey theme.

With connectivity becoming a rising purchase consideration for auto customers, The new Y20 multimedia system stands in tune with consumer desires to be connected at all times with its enabling of easy smartphone integration to useful and popular apps o the go.
It operates via a simple central touchscreen which once connected offers view and access to selected smartphone apps. Functionality of this system will also be increased over time to enable access to other 3rd party apps for the customer.
The system sports a sleek and simple hardware and HMI design and provides useful tools like smartphone-enabled route navigation, response to familiar multi-touch gestures and voice command integration among other features.
