A modified and new version of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class set for premiere at the on-going REHACARE 2018 event comes fitted with unique solutions aimed at providing more convenient mobility for wheelchair users with a cassette lift and a transfer seat stocked for the new vehicle being key focus points.
The cassette lift makes for comfortable access to the vehicle while the transfer seat is made for easier movement from a wheelchair to the driver’s seat for the vehicle. This solutions installed at the Mercedes-Benz Car Modification Center in Sindelfingen would soon be made available for order by customers.

The “F6” cassette lift outfitted beneath the V-Class opens to the rear sliding door and can be extended at the touch of a button via remote control which lowers it to ground level with a further touch of the button taking it back up giving wheelchair users seamless access to the vehicle’s interior.

The “Slider” transfer seat makes it simple to move from the wheelchair directly to the driver’s seat of the V-Class while being mounted on a special seat base frame with a rail system which can be pushed back about 42 centimetres.
Its feet are positioned on a non-slip, moving footrest allowing for manual operation. These features packed for the V-Class can also be ordered on request with a Mercedes-Benz Vito vehicle.
