Entertainment startup Pocket Watch nabs $15 million funding from Viacom, Greycroft and United Talent Agency

Media and entertainment startup Pocket Watch which provides online media content for kids has now raised $15 million in Series B funding led by media giant Viacom counting other 2 notable investors being LA based entertainment company United Talent Agency and venture capital firm Greycroft.

This investment round is Pocket Watch’s second known round with the company now having raised $21 million and counting notable backers including Iron Man star Robert Downey, Third Wave Digital and media company WME’s digital content head Chris Jacquemin.

Pocket Watch has now entered into a vast commercial agreement with Viacom ranging across content, talent and advertising services which will increase Pocket Watch’s entertainment network and content base.


Viacom’s COO Sarah Levy will be joining the company’s board as part of this investment along with a third member yet to be named by the 1 year old media startup.

Pocket Watch already runs several content programs consisting of kids comedy show Skoogle and feature film dubbed ‘The Unboxing Movie’ in collaboration with Viacom’s film production arm Paramount Pictures .

Pocket Watch which currently counts a combined subscriber base of over 34 million users is also going to start rolling out long-form content to several streaming networks starting from next month in a bid to increase its entertainment ecosystem.
