LG has unveiled its newest premium smartphone which comes with a total of five cameras set to redefine the standard of smartphone photography among other features to pack a multimedia powerhouse device geared at today’s generation of storytellers which prefers to communicate through the use of visuals and videos.

Dubbed the LG V40 ThinQ, it retains the V series design philosophy and comes with an improved 6.4-inch FullVision OLED display and slimmer bezels while being powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform merged with 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage which delivers the features which have made the LG V Series a favorite among smartphone users.

The V40 ThinQ features a rear camera module with three different lenses : a 16MP super wide-angle, 12MP standard angle and 12MP telephoto. These 3 lenses allow for shutterbugs to frame different shots without switching positions relative to the subject for super stability and picture quality.

Its 107-degree super wide-angle lens captures subjects with more of the background in ease while the telephoto with 2x optical zoom (or 3.2x the zoom of the wide-angle lens) allows for clear shots from distance without a loss in image quality.

It also packs a Triple Shot feature which combines together images captured with each of the 3 lenses into a short video file which can be shared easily.

Other features include a new 6.4-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440) OLED FullVision display and a bottom bezel 1.6mm thinner than its predecessor, a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC for audio, a Boombox Speaker and 3D Light Effect among many others.

“The LG V40 ThinQ was designed with the main goal to deliver an uncompromised experience for users to create, consume and share high quality content,” Hwang Jeong-hwan, president of LG Electronics stated concerning the new release. “The versatility of the camera and the proven V series platform makes the LG V40 ThinQ a serious option for customers looking for a premium smartphone that does it all.”

In addition to the new smartphone, LG has also unveiled its first hybrid smartwatch dubbed the LG Watch W7, a wearable which combines mechanical movement with digital functionalities and is the first to run the new new Wear OS by Google platform.

It’s designed for consumers who uphold the look of a traditional analog timepiece while also wanting the convenient functionalities of a connected smartwatch. The W7 is developed in partnership with Soprod SA of Switzerland and features igh-precision quartz movement and physical watch hands enclosed in a stainless steel body.

On a single charge, The the LG Watch W7 can run for up to two days and a further 3-4 days in analog-only mode. As per LG, it can also operate for up to 100 days without requiring a charge in mechanical watch-only mode with its “smart” features disabled.

It keeps accurate time while also able to display additional information such as barometer, altimeter, stopwatch, timer and compass directions. Thanks to its run on Wear OS by Google, It can also be customized in thousands of different ways with unique watch faces and complications available online.
