The new Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster

Mercedes-Benz has debuted the latest addition to the AMG GT auto line-up, bringing its total count to 16 models ; five two-door coupés, five 4-door coupés, four roadsters and two sports racing cars. The latest addition is the AMG GT R Roadster, a new vehicle with features like :
- An AMG 4.0-litre V8 Biturbo engine (that delivers an output of 430 kW (585 horse-power)
- 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 3.6 seconds
- Top speed of 317 km/h
- LED headlamps
- AirPanel air regulation system
- Lightweight (20-inch) 10-Spoke Wheels
- A a 10.25-inch multimedia monitor
- An AMG Performance steering wheel
- Indirect air-to-water intercooling
- Downstream charge air coolers
- Direct petrol injection (electronically controlled)
- Four overhead camshafts (controlling a total of 32 valves)
- A specially developed exhaust system that Mercedes says saves around 6kg of weight
- Seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and
- An optional composite brake system Mercedes says saves approximately 15kg of weight
