Russian internet services giant Yandex has announced that it’s in discussions to acquire Tinkoff Bank, the leading online bank in Russia, in a cash and stock deal worth $5.5 billion, representing an 8% premium to Tinkoff’s closing market capitalization on the 21st of September, 2020. Tinkoff Bank is a leading Russian bank with no physical branches that was founded in 2006 by businessman Oleg Tinkov. The bank is known to be the second-largest issuer of credit cards in Russia and overall one of the world’s largest digital banks as measured by the number of customers.

Yandex is apparently eyeing Tinkoff to bolster its digital banking business. Already, the publicly-traded Russian tech giant runs its own electronic payments service called Yandex Money. Acquiring Tinkoff will give the company a bank of its own and add to its variety of services which currently include search, e-commerce, transportation, and online advertising.

Yandex is still in discussions and hasn’t made a formalized offer for Tinkoff. Formalized terms of the propsed deal is contingent on satisfactory due diligence and a definitive agreement between both companies. The acquisition proposal will also be subject to a vote from Yandex’s shareholders, given the company’s status as a public company. A $5.5 billion deal, if formalized, will mark one of the biggest ever seen in the Russian technology industry.

  • i am a successful business owner and father. I got one of these already programmed blank ATM cards that allows me withdraw a maximum of $5,000 daily for 30 days. I am so happy about these cards because I received mine last week and have already used it to get $20,000. Skylink technology is giving out these cards to support people in any kind of financial problem. I must be sincere to you, when i first saw the advert, I believed it to be illegal and a hoax but when I contacted this team, they confirmed to me that although it is illegal, nobody gets caught while using these cards because they have been programmed to disable every communication once inserted into any Automated Teller Machine(ATM). If interested get through to them on mail: skylinktechnes@yahoo.com  or  whatsapp/telegram: +1(213)785-1553
