LG is also offering a Dual Screen accessory for the V50 – a second 6.2 inch display that attaches to the smartphone like a case, offering twice the real screen size. This looks like a poke at the recently debuted foldable smartphone by Samsung.

The V50 will first be available in the US, exclusively from Sprint, followed by other countries where 5G networks are expected to launch this year. Pricing details and release dates haven’t been announced yet.

In other 5G news, Intel has said that it won’t be expecting its 5G modem chips to appear in phones until 2020, a signal that Apple – its biggest customer – may not be releasing a 5G smartphone before that time.
