At CES, LG has unveiled the world’s first rollable OLED TV dubbed the Signature OLED TV R that boasts of high picture and sound quality along with its signature feature. With the press of a button, the TV rolls up from a rectangular position, giving users freedom from the position of a wall to assemble their own space which no longer needs to be reserved full time for TV viewing.

It can transform itself to offer three different viewing options – Full View, Line View and Zero View, each with its own specific functions and features. Full View is for full use of the TV with a large screen experience and AI picture and sound quality. Line View allows the TV to be partially unrolled for tasks not requiring full screen view such as glancing at photos and using the clock to check time and weather.

Zero View hides all 65 inches of the TV from view, tucked away in its base so users can users can enjoy music and other audio content that emanate from its 4.2-channel, 100W front-firing Dolby Atmos audio system.

The TV supports Amazon Alexa for voice control and also Apple AirPlay 2 to let users easily play videos, music and photos directly from their Apple devices. Apple HomeKit for control via the Home app or Siri is also supported.

The new product is part of the 2019 line-up from LG so its expected to go on sale sometime this year with no specific date provided.
