With Apple’s new iOS12 availability, Google Maps is now supported by Apple CarPlay enabling iPhone users to now navigate with Google Maps straight from their car’s in-built display bringing a very useful feature for many.

Google Maps on Apple’s CarPlay comes with several features including the ability to garner up to the minute and real-time information, navigation from where the user left off, offline downloads of maps of an area for use when not connected, real time traffic updates for journey preparation and ability to create lists of favorite places to visit for later use.

For use, ensure update of the Google Maps app to version 5 from the app store then connect your iPhone via CarPlay and you’re good to go. Android users can make use of the Android Auto service built by Google for the same navigation tasks.
